WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee meets this Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 7pm via Zoom.
There are some other newsworthy items on the agenda, including:
- The Wilmington School Committee will recognize this year’s WPS staff retirees.
- The Wilmington School Committee will recognize former WCTV Executive Director Shaun Neville.
- Superintendent Dr. Glenn Brand will provide his Superintendent’s report, including information about a community survey on remote learning & school re-opening.
- Brand will provide a COVID-19-related update, including the State Reopening Guidelines, DESE’s “Return To School Working Group,” Students’ Personnel Belongings, and Summer School/Extended Year Program.
- Food Services Director Mary Palen will provide an update on her department.
- The School Committee will receive information about this year’s summer reading program.
- The School Committee will vote to formally approve the final day of school for this school year and the calendar for next school year.
- The School Committee will review proposed changes to five of its policies, including its Residency Enforcement Policy and School Choice Policy.
The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV — Channel 9 on Comcast and Channel 37 on Verizon. The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
