POLICE LOG for June 7: Hatchet Found On Side Of Road; Brush Fire; Town Fence Damaged; Crash Into Woods

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, June 7, 2020:
  • Police notified DPW that it appeared someone backed into the fence leading to the playground at Town Beach. (2:56am)
  • A vehicle crashed into the woodline at Olson Street and Church Street. No injuries. Vehicle towed. (12:02pm)
  • Police and Fire responded to a brush fire on Vermont Road, called in by a neighbor. (4:18pm)
  • A caller stated she found a hatchet on the side of the road near the walk signal at Federal Street and Middlesex Avenue. (7:29pm)
  • Large tree fell into roadway at Carter Lane and Norfolk Avenue, taking down live wires. RMLD and Verizon notified. (11:35pm)
