POLICE LOG for June 5: Cars Egged & Keyed; Driver Issued Summons; Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road?

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, June 5, 2020:
  • A caller reported a man with a cane walking in a hospital gown on Faulkner Avenue. Police responded. Man checked OK. He lives in the area and walks at night. (2:37am)
  • A caller reported a large cigarette ashcan was stolen from outside the Energy Sciences building on Industrial Way last night. (6:47am)
  • A Winston Avenue caller reported her daughter’s vehicle was keyed sometime last night. Her friends’ cars were also keyed and egged. (8:23am)
  • A caller reported a live chicken in the roadway on Forest Street. Animal Control Officer returned the chicken to its home. (8:39am)
  • A vehicle on Marion Street was egged and “LOL” was keyed into paint. (11:47am)
  • Muhammad Hashim (21, Burlington) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License and Failure To Stop/Yield. Hashim was pulled over on Burlington Avenue and also given a citation for causing gridlock. (3:19pm)
  • A caller reported a black pickup truck hit a mailbox on Hopkins Street and kept driving towards Billerica. (5:17pm)
  • Police sent a large group of teenagers at Ristuccia Arena on their way. (8:36pm)
