WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 3 things to know in Wilmington on Monday, June 8, 2020:

#1) Watch Wilmington Board Of Selectmen Meeting

The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets at 7pm via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE. The meeting will be televised live on WCTV and wctv.org.

#2) FREE Curbside Meals For Wilmington Students

Wilmington Food Services is offering FREE “grab and go” breakfasts and lunches at Wilmington High School every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9:30am to 11:30am.

This curbside pickup service is open to ALL Wilmington students in all grades, including those that do not attend Wilmington schools. The program has plenty of food and would like to feed more students than it’s currently feeding. There is NO contact — just unlock your trunk and food service workers will place the meals inside.

If you would like to take advantage of this program but cannot visit the school, please reach out to Wilmington’s Administrator of Food Services Mary Palen at mary.palen@wpsk12.com or 978-694-6064.

#3) Edible Landscaping Virtual Event At Wilmington Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library is hosting a virtual event, “Edible Landscaping: The Latest In Garden Design” at 6:30pm. Edible flowers have a long history in the culinary world as whimsical garnishes and subtle flavor additions used to create dishes that look as beautiful as they taste. With so many choices available to you, it’s time to explore all the varieties of edible flowers you can grow in your garden and the many ways you can use them to enhance your cooking. Chef and gardener Liz Barbour will take you on a slide presentation tour of her cottage sized edible gardens and demonstrate two delicious recipes featuring edible flowers from her garden. This event is via a Zoom Webinar.  You must register using the link below: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_SOqqz907RFeA137KxH6udA. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

And Don’t Forget…. Wilmington Library Now Offers Curbside Pickup

Need a whodunnit or a beachy romance? Staff are happy to select titles for you from our shelves! Please visit our website to fill out the WML to Go form with your preferences.

In both cases, staff will be in touch by phone or email when your items are ready to be picked up. When you arrive at the library, call the main number at 978-658-2967. Staff will bring your items to your car and place them in the trunk.
