WILMINGTON, MA — Craig F. Downs, age 62, of Lowell, formerly a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away on June 3, 2020, at the Town & Country Nursing Center and Rehab in Lowell.
Craig was born on September 23, 1957, in Winchester, MA. He was raised and educated in Wilmington and part of a large extended family; Craig was the beloved son of the late Harvey Downs and Audrey (Barnaby) and Jessie Anderson.
Craig was the dear brother of David Downs & his wife Patricia of New Hampshire, Kevin Downs & his wife Linda, Robin Anderson and John Anderson & his companion Laura Almeida all of Wilmington, Linda Anderson & her husband Patrick Picard of Lebanon, ME, step-brother of Malcolm Anderson & his wife Kathleen of Tewksbury, Roy Anderson & his wife Debbie and Debra Anderson all of Wilmington. Craig is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
For many years, Craig, worked as an auto mechanic; he could fix just about anything and he thoroughly enjoyed working on all kinds of cars. Craig loved the outdoors and in his spare time he could often be found fishing at a local spot.
Craig will be remembered as a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend; he loved his family unconditionally and looked forward to the times they spent together. He was known to be caring, funny, thoughtful and generous to a fault; Craig was kind to everyone he met and he will forever be in the hearts of those he loved.
At Craig’s request, his Funeral Services will be private.
