5 Things To Know In Wilmington On Thursday, June 4, 2020

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Thursday, June 4, 2020:

#1) Peaceful Walk For Justice At Wilmington Town Common

Wilmington residents are invited to attend a “Peaceful Walk For Justice” this Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 3pm on the Wilmington Town Common.

Participants will congregate at the Common and collectively walk towards Rotary Park. Participants are encouraged to bring signs, wear black, and, due to COVID-19, wear a mask and maintain social distancing.

#2) Watch The Wilmington Finance Committee Meeting

The Wilmington Finance Committee meets at 7pm via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE. The meeting will be televised live on WCTV and wctv.org.

#3) Seven Steps To Managing Your Memory At Wilmington Memorial Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library is hosting an interesting talk for adults at 7pm. Dr. Andrew E. Budson, Professor of Neurology at BU, lecturer at Harvard, Chief of Cognitive Neurology at the Boston VA, and Medical Director of the Boston Center for Memory will explain how individuals can distinguish changes in memory due to Alzheimer’s versus normal aging; what medications, vitamins, diets, and exercise regimes can help; and the best habits, strategies, and memory aids to use, in seven simple steps. Dr. Budson’s talk is based on his award winning book, “Seven Steps to Managing Your Memory: What’s Normal, What’s Not, and What to Do About It,” published by Oxford University Press. Register HERE.

#4) Online LEGO Club At Wilmington Memorial Library

Build LEGOs (or whatever building materials you have at your house) at the same time as other LEGO fans online at 4pm.  At the end, you can share what you made during the time, and show one other item that you may have already built at home.  Ages 5+. Zoom Meeting Room information will be emailed to registered participants. #5) Baby Time At Wilmington Memorial Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library is holding Baby Time at 10am on Zoom. This program of songs, rhymes, games and picture books is for babies under the age of two years and their caregivers. Zoom Meeting Room invitations will be emailed to registered attendees at least one hour before the event.
