5 Things To Know In Wilmington On Friday, May 29, 2020

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Friday, May 29, 2020:

#1) Wilmington Public Schools Annual Art Show

The Wilmington Public Schools Department of Visual Arts invites you to the opening of its 8th Annual Student Art Show on Friday, May 29, 2020. Galleries will be available online in a slide show format that you be able to view from any device at your leisure. Though in-classroom time was limited second semester, the department was able to gather work from the first semester students as well as some of the great creations done at-home during remote-learning time.

The show begins with a visual message from elementary students showing how it is more important than ever to find ways to connect with one another in the time of social distancing through “The virtual heART quilt”. This gave students an opportunity to create a collaborative art piece representing their spirit, strength, and compassion. The following slides showcase the great artwork by our middle and high school artists.

While there will be no cookies and punch this year, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful work from our students which will help lift your spirits and quench your taste buds for their creativity.

Beginning Friday, May 29, 2020, the show can be accessed through the Wilmington Public Schools website at www.WPSK12.com or directly at https://bit.ly/3g6Bgmb.
