POLICE LOG for May 21: Car vs. Bike; Deer Struck & Killed; Trash Truck Takes Down Wires; Dog Bites Woman

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, May 21, 2020:
  • Police checked on a vehicle in the Target parking lot. Occupant is homeless and living out of vehicle. Occupant was getting some rest. Checked OK. (1:43am)
  • A car and a bicycle were involved in a crash at Chestnut Street and Marion Street. Bicyclist was transported to Lahey. DPW retrieved bicycle. (8:49am)
  • Russell Disposal trash truck took down wires on Woodland Road. Fire Department and RMLD notified. Road temporarily closed. (10:44am)
  • Police assisted with a vehicle lockout in Dollar Tree parking lot. Keys locked in trunk. (2:18pm)
  • Vehicle struck and killed a deer on Salem Street near Shea Concrete. (4:35pm)
  • Fire Department responded to smoldering mulch on Main Street. Pedestrian extinguished fire before firefighters arrived. (4:55pm)
  • A woman flagged down a police officer and reported she was just bit by a dog on Charlotte Road. Woman refused medical attention. Animal Control Officer notified. (7:28pm)
