WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee meets this Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 7pm via Zoom.
There are some other newsworthy items on the agenda, including:
- Superintendent Dr. Glenn Brand will provide a COVID-19 update, including the school district’s Reopening Advisory Group, Remote Learning Update, Cancellation of Summer Programs, and Reopening of Town Parks & Fields.
- Dr. Brand will provide principal updates on their schools’ activities since the closure.
- Dr. Brand will formally announce the district’s new Assistant Superintendent.
- Dr. Brand will discuss a new website for the school district.
- Technology & Digital Learning Director Ken Lord will present the district’s 2020-2025 technology plan.
- Assistant Superintendent Paul Ruggiero will provide a personnel update.
- Ruggiero will also provide an update on the SEEM Collaborative’s FY21 budget.
- The School Committee will receive an update on the Student Opportunity Act.
- The School Committee will recognize its Middle School & High School Student Representatives.
The School Committee will meet in Executive Session (closed to the public) prior to the meeting to discuss collective bargaining.
The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV — Channel 9 on Comcast and Channel 37 on Verizon. The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
