WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Tuesday, May 26, 2020:

#2) Watch The Wilmington Board of Selectmen Meeting

The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets at 7pm via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE. The meeting will be televised live on WCTV and wctv.org.

#4) Red Cross Blood Drive At Wilmington Masonic Lodge Is FULL

The Red Cross Blood Drive scheduled for 1pm to 7pm at the Wilmington Masonic (Friendship) Lodge at 32 Church Street is FULL.

#5) Request A Free Mosquito Spraying From Central Mass. Mosquito Control Project Starting TODAY (Check Back In The Afternoon If ‘Service Request’ Button Isn’t Up In The Morning)

Central Mass. Mosquito Control Project will begin accepting requests to spray for adult, flying mosquitoes on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Any requests submitted before that time by phone or email will not be databased and will have to be resubmitted into our online request form that will be available May 26. Check the “Service Request” button to the right on the homepage after that date.

Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project personnel will be in Wilmington to respond to residents’ concerns about mosquitoes in their area on June 3, June 4, June 10, June 11, June 17, June18, June 24, and June 25. Dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions, mosquito populations, mosquito virus activity and/or special event spraying.

Mosquito spraying is only done when certain criteria have been met; mosquitoes are active at that time, temperatures are above 55oF and winds are less than 10mph. If any of these conditions are not present at the time of the application then the service request will be rescheduled to a later date.
