Below is a press release from Wilmington Public Schools:
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Public Schools Department of Visual Arts invites you to the opening of our 8th annual Student Art Show on Friday, May 29, 2020. Our galleries will be available online in a slide show format that you be able to view from any device at your leisure. Though our in-classroom time was limited second semester we were able to gather work from our first semester students as well as some of the great creations done at-home during our remote-learning time.
The show begins with a visual message from our elementary students showing how it is more important than ever to find ways to connect with one another in the time of social distancing through “The virtual heART quilt”. This gave students an opportunity to create a collaborative art piece representing their spirit, strength, and compassion. The following slides showcase the great artwork by our middle and high school artists.
While there will be no cookies and punch this year, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful work from our students which will help lift your spirits and quench your taste buds for their creativity.
Beginning Friday, May 29, 2020, the show can be accessed through the Wilmington Public Schools website at www.WPSK12.com or directly at https://bit.ly/3g6Bgmb.
We hope you enjoy the show!
