POLICE LOG for May 12: Motorcycle Crash; Driver Doing ‘Burnouts’ On Butters Row Bridge

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, May 12, 2020:
  • Hillcrest Street resident reported a tree was down across the roadway and took down wires. Police notified RMLD and DPW. RMLD restored power. (12:03pm)
  • Police assisted the Fire Department with a brush fire on the side of the highway, prior to Exit 38. (1:14pm)
  • A Blackstone Street resident reported he cannot shut off the water from his hose in his yard. Valve will not close. Water Department was notified and responded. (1:19pm)
  • A motorcycle crash occurred in front of AJ’s Kitchen on Lowell Street. Operator was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation, Unregistered Vehicle, Uninsured Vehicle, and Attaching Plates. (3:36pm)
  • A caller reported a green Jeep Wrangler doing “burn outs” on the Butters Row Bridge. Caller stated vehicle had done it multiple times. Police responded and could not locate vehicle. (7:49pm)
