WILMINGTON, MA — Rosemarie L. Clements, age 84, of Wilmington, passed away on May 3, 2020.
Rosemarie was born in Boston, MA, on April 30, 1936; she was the beloved daughter of the late Francisco and Celia and the dear sister of the late Frank Cina.
Rosemarie grew up in the North End of Boston as the daughter of Italian immigrants. She celebrated her Italian heritage, loved to dance and enjoyed life to the fullest. When Rosemarie became a mother, she settled in East Boston. She loved and sacrificed everything for her children and often acted as a den mother to their many friends in the neighborhood and beyond. She welcomed everyone into the home with warmth and love. She worked hard to ensure her children only got the best education and support. She attended every school event and game as their ultimate champion and fan. To her children, her devotion was unmatchable, her dedication unstoppable and her commitment unwavering. They were her whole world and the sacrifices she made for them will never be forgotten.
Later in life she married her longtime partner, the late Raymond Clements. Soon after, Rosemarie became “Nana Rose.” Being a grandmother was a role she cherished; Tyler and Madison were the light of her life. Rosemarie adored them and loved to spoil “her babies”. She was involved in every aspect of their lives. Whether it was cheering for Tyler on the baseball field or beaming with pride while watching Madison on the dance stage, she was truly their biggest fan and so proud of them. She shared an incredible bond with her grandchildren, and her gift of unconditional love will remain with them forever. Nothing brought her more joy than when she was surrounded by all of her children and grandchildren.
Rosemarie was truly one of a kind. She was thoughtful, selfless, and one of the kindest people you could ever have the fortune to meet. She was truly an “angel on earth” who will be forever missed.
Rosemarie is survived by her beloved children Stephen Cina and his wife Audrey Cina of Woburn, Scott Cina and his wife Julie Sullivan of the North End, Kerry Fenton and her husband Philip Fenton Jr. of Wilmington and her loving grandchildren Tyler and Madison Fenton, and nephew Frank Cina of Malden.
The Family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Beth Israel Lahey in Burlington for their compassion and dedication during these difficult times.
All services will be private, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Rosemarie’s memory to the Covenant House. A reflection of her nurturing character and a charity she cherished that supports children in need.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Nichols Funeral Home, Wilmington, MA.
