WILMINGTON, MA — According to numbers released by Wilmington Health Director Shelly Newhouse on Monday morning, Wilmington has just 21 active cases of COVID-19 outside of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. An additional 4 residents are quarantined.

In nursing homes and assisted living facilities, CareOne currently has 39 active cases while Windsor Place now has 15 active cases. An outbreak was feared at Windsor Place and, after testing from the National Guard late last week, a cluster has been confirmed.

Excluding AdviniaCare, which has become a COVID-19 recovery center and is accepting patients from hospitals, Wilmington has a grand total of 75 active cases.

Wilmington hasn’t seen numbers this low since April 4, 2020.
