WILMINGTON, MA — Watch the latest episode of “Talk of the Town” with host Ryan Malyar, WCTV’s Youth & Content Coordinator, featuring quick stories from around town.
In this episode, Malyar remotely interviews Wilmington Farmers Market organizers Dana Burnham (President) & Christine Canevari (Marketing Coordinator & Webmaster) about its upcoming 2020 season.
Due to COVID-19, the market is going a bit “virtual” — shoppers will visit the market’s website, sign up for a time slot, contact vendors & order from them directly, pay them in advance, show up to the Swain Green during your assigned time slot, and vendors, wearing masks & gloves, will load your purchases into your vehicle.
There is a special market set for Sunday, May 17, 2020, 10am-noon, and then the regular summer reason begins on Sunday, June 14, 2020.
Burnham and Canevari also discuss the vendors expected to participate in the upcoming markets and why it’s important for Wilmington to have a Farmers Market.
