VIDEO: Wilmington Senior Center Thanks Kids Who Made Cards For Seniors, Businesses Who Have Made Donations

WILMINGTON, MA — Watch the latest episode of “Talk of the Town” with WCTV’s Lisa Kapala featuring quick stories from around town.

In this episode, Kapala remotely interviews Wilmington Elderly Services Director Terri Marciello.

Marciello discusses how the Senior Center is continuing to serve seniors during the COVID-19 crisis, including delivering 65-70 meals to seniors each day. The Center is also now filming its yoga, Zumba, dance & tone, and special experience classes for seniors to watch at home.

Marciello thanks a long list of Wilmington small businesses and organizations who have made donations to the Center over the past 6 weeks, including AJ’s Kitchen, Uptown Deli, Panera Bread, Designs By Don, Dovetails, Monteforte Law, Wilmington Rotary Club, and Adam Quinn of Dunkin’.

Marciello also thanks Wilmington children who have participated in the Center’s happiness card campaign. More than 200 homemade cards have been mailed out to local seniors. Cards are still being accepted. Look for the orange bucket outside the Center’s entrance.
