SCHOOL COMMITTEE To Discuss COVID-19, Wildcat Summer Camps, CARES, Vaping, & West Principal Search TONIGHT

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee meets this Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 7pm via Zoom.

There are some newsworthy items on the agenda, including:

  • Superintendent Dr. Glenn Brand will provide a COVID-19 update.
  • Superintendent Brand will discuss the district’s summer programming, including CARES and sports camps.
  • Superintendent Brand will provide updates on the Assistant Superintendent search and West Intermediate School Principal search.
  • The School Committee will receive an update from the district’s Vaping Committee.
  • The School Committee will vote to authorize statement of interest applications for the district’s six elementary schools to the Massachusetts School Building Authority.
  • Superintendent Brand will announce virtual parent webinar nights.
  • Superintendent Brand will provide a final update on his Superintendent Goals for the year, and the Committee will discuss the evaluation process.
  • The School Committee will be conducting first and second readings of a variety of revised school committee policies.

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV — Channel 9 on Comcast and Channel 37 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
