SPRING HILL, FL — Jeanne LaRivee Cariglio passed away on April 17th 2020 at the age of 87, surrounded by her family whom she loved so much.
Jeanne was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was the only child of Vester Dodson and Mattie May (Hawkins). All Jeanne wanted was to be a mom. She met her future husband Captain Rene LaRivee in Sacramento California and was married in 1954. Unfortunately Captain LaRivee was killed in a plane crash at Eielson Air Force Base leaving Jeanne a widow with four children.
Jeanne remarried Alfred Cariglio, a widow himself, in 1963. With Al’s three boys and Jean’s four children, they added two more to the mix. Jeanne worked as a telephone operator in her early years and was a stay at home mom later raising nine children in Wilmington Massachusetts. Jeanne, Al and daughter Jeanne moved to Spring Hill Florida in 1984. Where they lived a long life together, until Al passed away in 2012.
Their children included Anthony Cariglio and friend Deana DiChario of Marshfield Massachusetts, Denise LaRivee Pivarnik of Spring Hill Florida, Al Cariglio of Fort Lauderdale Florida, Steven LaRivee and his wife Tatiana of Fitchburg Massachusetts, David LaRivee and his wife Marianne of Monument Colorado, Michael Cariglio of Fort Lauderdale Florida, Sharon LaRivee Millett Wininger of Spring Hill Florida, Paul Cariglio and his wife Julie of Orlando Florida, and Jeanne Cariglio Abraham and her husband Alex of Spring Hill Florida. Jeanne had thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, with another one due in September, who loved her very much.
She loved her family, keeping family traditions going, enjoyed playing dominoes with her neighbor friends and doing genealogy. Jeanne had many nicknames, but little miss magic was the one that fit the best.
She was loved by so many people and will be greatly missed.
