WILMINGTON, MA — Mary Sbano (Greco), age 98, a long-time resident of Wilmington passed away on April 23, 2020.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Anthony P. Sbano, devoted mother of Vincent Sbano and his wife Sheila, Peter Sbano and his wife Cheryl and Maria Sbano. Loving grandmother of Jennifer, Lynette, Michael, Matthew, Renee, Daniel, Anthony and Stephen as well as 10 great-grandchildren. Dear daughter of the late Peter and Rose (Bara) Greco, dear sister of the late Mamie, Margaret, Jenny and Tony all of New York. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mary was born and raised in New York City where she met her husband Anthony; the love of her life. The couple moved to Wilmington, MA, in 1969, where she spent the rest of her life.
Mary worked as a seamstress during World War II; she sewed raincoats and would put a note or message in each raincoat pocket for the servicemen.
She was also a great storyteller, loved to play cards, loved to sing, and always had an answer for everything. Above all, her family was her life; they meant everything to her and she will be dearly missed.
Due to the current situation with the Coronavirus and for everyone’s safety; the Sbano family has chosen to have a Mass and Celebration of Mary’s life at a later date. Please refer to our website for updated information at www.nicholsfuneralhome.com.

(NOTE: The above obituary is from Nichols Funeral Home.)
