POLICE LOG for April 22: Late Night Grocery Delivery Causes Scare; Chickens For Sale?; Shotgun Shells Turned In

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Wednesday, April 22, 2020:
  • A caller reported a suspicious Craigslist ad regarding the sale of chickens in town. (10:00am) [Editor’s Note: This incident prompted the Wilmington Animal Control Officer to post this on his social media accounts.]
  • A walk-in party turned in 7 shotgun shells for destruction. (11:25am)
  • A fence on Middlesex Avenue blew into the roadway. Police removed from road and placed back on property. (3:04pm)
  • Police reported 70 feet of wire was down at the intersection of Main Street and Lowell Street. Police moved to side of roadway. Verizon notified. (4:22pm)
  • A Woburn Street caller reported a tall male wearing a face mask pulled into her driveway and walked towards her house. He was then last seen getting back into his vehicle and driving towards Concord Street. While on phone, caller checked front door and realized the man had delivered a grocery store order from Wegmans. (10:44pm)
