WILMINGTON, MA — Francis A. Peters, aka “Bucky”, age 74, passed away on April 19, 2020 in Wilmington, MA.
Bucky is survived by his wife Mary “Mae” (Chisholm) Peters, formerly of Port Hood, Nova Scotia. He was the beloved father of Kevin Peters and wife Kerry of Bellingham, MA and Keith Peters and girlfriend Cindy Fecteau of Dracut, MA. Loving brother of Robert Peters and wife Carol of Sydney, Nova Scotia, his sister Anne Holmes and her husband Don of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, his sister Rose Singer of Ocoee, Florida and sister Laura Ongo (deceased). Bucky also leaves behind two loving grandchildren Erin and Liam Peters of Bellingham, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Earnest and Jean (Oursin) Peters. One of five children, Bucky was always dedicated to his family. He moved to America as a young adult and soon met the love of his life, Mae. He was overjoyed with the birth of his two sons and loved spending time with them. Bucky enjoyed playing cards, listening to music and spending time laughing with his grandchildren. Bucky was a dedicated worker at Royal Label press up until his retirement several years ago. Bucky fought a long battle with Primary Progressive Aphasia and in the end, succumbed to Covid-19 on April 19, 2020.
Due to the current public health circumstances, services will be private. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Please refer to Nichols Funeral Home website for updated information.
