POLICE LOG for April 15: Deer vs. Car; Bicycle Found; Injured Fox

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Wednesday, April 15, 2020:
  • A caller reported a deer struck his vehicle while driving on Andover Street, near the DPW headquarters. Damage done to driver’s side rear door. No sign of deer. (12:15am)
  • Police noticed a vehicle was taking water from a hydrant at the Salvation Army on Main Street. Police contacted DPW, which confirmed individuals were working on the town’s sewer line. (6:49am)
  • A caller located an abandoned bicycle with a rainbow sign sticker off the path near the Wildwood Early Childhood Center. Police contacted DPW to retrieve. (1:45pm)
  • A Burlington Avenue caller reported an injured fox was in her yard. Fox was gone by the time Animal Control Officer arrived. (3:45pm)
  • During a check of Yentile Farm, police cleared a couple of groups off the field and had them move along. (4:43pm)
