WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, April 13, 2020 at 7pm. The meeting will take place online and shown live on WCTV (Channel 9 on Comcast and Channel 37 on Verizon) at http://www.wctv.org. (Members can also listen in to the meeting by dialing 1-646-558-8656 and entering meeting ID 454 588 832 and then press # and press # again at the next voice prompt.)
There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:
- Selectmen will consider extending the due date for payments of real estate taxes and waive interest & penalties for certain late payments.
- Selectmen will receive an update from Town Health Director Shelley Newhouse and Fire Chief Bill Cavanaugh on the town’s COVID-19 response.
- Selectmen will consider authorizing extending an agreement with Reading Municipal Light Department for 10 more years.
- Selectmen will receive a letter from the Wilmington Farmers Market about hosting the market under current COVID-19 restrictions. Selectmen will also consider the request of the Market to use the Swain Green on Sunday, May 3, 2020, from 8:30am to 2pm.
- Selectmen will receive a letter from Attorney Mike Newhouse regarding the withdrawal of Article 63 from the Annual Town Meeting warrant.
An Executive Session will precede the meeting at 6pm.
