POLICE LOG for April 9: Suspicious Behavior At Market Basket; Customer Passing Counterfeit Bills?; Crash On 93

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, April 9, 2020:
  • Police came across suspicious activity in the Market Basket parking lot. Three parties were in the lot with flashlights looking in the store’s windows. Parties were looking for a cat. Social media post reported cat was spotted in area earlier in the night. Checks OK. (1:17am)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout on Taft Road. (8:00am)
  • Market Basket reported a customer was trying to pass a $100 counterfeit bill. (3:30pm)
  • Police and Fire responded to a crash in the fast lane on 93 North, prior to Exit 39. Airbag deployed. Driver refused medical attention. State Police handled scene. (4:03pm)
