POLICE LOG for April 4: Group Of Teens Moved Along; Stranger Walking Through People’s Yards; Squirrel In A Cage?

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, April 4, 2020:
  • Police noted a vehicle in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot on Concord Street had a revoked registration. Police confiscated plates. Employee said vehicle had been there all night long.  Police left a note on the vehicle and left a voicemail for the owner. (4:54am)
  • Police notified Mass Highway that left turn lights at Ballardvale Street and Route 125 were not cycling properly. (10:15am)
  • A caller reported a displaced rabbit’s nest on Harris Street. (1:11pm)
  • A Towpath Drive resident reported at approximately 11am, her security camera caught a male party in her backyard. Police responded and checked backyard and woods behind the home. Nothing was out of place or removed. (2:17pm)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout in the Market Basket parking lot. (2:21pm)
  • Police advised 6-7 youths riding their bikes in the Textron parking lot to stop and sent them on their way. (2:43pm)
  • Animal Control Officer witnessed a squirrel in a cage at a Silverhurst Avenue residence. Officer had a conversation with homeowner through the window and it was agreed that the squirrel would be released. (6:16pm)
