WILMINGTON, MA — John Joseph McGrath, passed away suddenly, on March 26th, at the age of 48.
Born on December 19,1971, in Stoneham, MA; he was the dear son of the late Lawrence and Lois (Langley) McGrath.
John is survived by his children, son John McGrath and his fiancee Courtney Barlow of Londonderry, NH, son Nolan McGrath and daughter Riley McGrath of Atkinson, NH, along with their mother Lana McGrath. John is also survived by his brother Paul McGrath and his late wife Donna of Bradford, MA and sister Maureen Ross and her husband Bob of Walpole, MA. Loving Uncle of Paul, Brian, Kevin, Bobby, Owen and Callie. His dear Uncle Harris and wife Marge McGrath of Seabrook, NH. John is preceded in death by his brother and friend Larry McGrath.
Most recently, John was a resident of Methuen, MA. He grew up and lived in Wilmington, MA for many years before moving to NH with his young family. John always spoke fondly of his childhood memories with his Robinson cousins and many friends from Wilmington. John attended Wilmington High School, where he loved playing hockey and baseball for the Wildcats. He graduated from Northern Essex Community College and went on to work for Mayo Labs and most recently Fresh Water Farms for many years.
John had a lifelong love of following all Boston sports teams and always looked forward to Sunday afternoon games with his sons. He was always quick with a joke or a story and leaves behind a special circle of friends and family. He will be greatly missed and remembered.
