POLICE LOG for March 23: Tractor Trailer Smoking; Police Enforce Park Closures; Caller Angry With Tow Company

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, March 23, 2020:
  • Police stopped a tractor trailer unit with smoking coming out of the bottom of it on 93 South at Exit 41. Police determined it was mechanical in nature and not a safety hazard. Driver was sent on his way. (6:48am)
  • Police notified DPW of pot holes on Federal Street. (12:14pm)
  • During a check of Yentile Farm Recreational Facility, police reminded three parties that the park was closed. (12:40pm)
  • A caller reported a A&S towed a couple of vehicles from his business property without his permission. Caller followed tow truck to their location. Caller is stated driver is refusing to release vehicles. Police advised caller it is a civil matter. (1:30pm)
  • A past hit and run from March 20 at Target was reported. (5:24pm)
