Below is an announcement from the Parish of the Transfiguration (St. Dorothy’s & St. Thomas):
WILMINGTON, MA — Starting this weekend, come join us in prayer at both churches. While NO masses and NO services are permitted, we may still gather in prayer. Spend some time in quiet reflection focusing on Jesus’ journey into the desert during his difficult times that led to the Cross, and reflect on our own difficult journey during these days of uncertainty.
SCHEDULE FOR BOTH CHURCHES:
Monday-Friday: 8AM-3PM
Saturday: 9AM-5PM
Sunday: 7AM-2PM
OPEN FOR PRIVATE PRAYER ONLY
LIMITED TO 25 INDIVIDUALS AT A TIME
We continue to make every effort to sanitize common areas, wiping down door handles, banisters, elevator buttons, pews, etc., and will continue to do so for the safety of all.
Please follow the practices of good hygiene such as:
- frequent hand-washing using hand sanitizers with 60% alcohol when soap and water are unavailable;
- protecting your coughs and sneezes with tissues disposed of immediately, or coughing into your elbow if tissues are not available;
- cleaning and disinfecting commonly used surfaces often; avoiding contact with people who are ill, if possible; and
- following other healthy practices of good diet, sleep and exercise.
Parishioners will need to be aware if crowd grows too large. With the times being offered, we don’t anticipate an issue at this time.
