WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen is holding an emergency meeting this Friday, March 20, 2020 at 5pm at Town Hall.
The Board will receive an update on COVID-19 from Wilmington Health Director Shelly Newhouse. Town Manager Jeff Hull will also detail the town government’s response to the virus.
In addition, the Board will receive a notification from Town Moderator Robert Peterson Jr. regarding postponing Annual Town Meeting to Saturday, May 30, 2020.
Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 order suspending certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law, and the Governor’s 15, 2020 order imposing strict limitation on the number of people that may gather in one place, members of the public who wish to watch the meeting may do so by watching WCTV (Channel 9 on Comcast xfinity, Channel 37 on Verizon FIOS, and livestream on www.wctv.org). NO in-person attendance of members of the public will be permitted, but every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings in real time, via technological means. In the event that the town is unable to do so, despite best efforts, officials will post on the town’s website an audio or video recording, transcript or other comprehensive record of proceedings as soon as possible after the meeting.
