Wilmington School Committee To Hold Emergency Meeting TONIGHT To Discuss Remainder Of 2020 School Year

UPDATE: I’m told parents should NOT expect any news about whether or not the schools will reopen as planned on April 7, 2020 or remain closed for a longer period of time.

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee will convene an emergency meeting via a ZOOM call on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 6pm.

The Committee will receive an update on the district’s response to COVID-19. Members will also discuss procedures on how to pay its salaried and hourly employees during the school shutdown.

Members of the public may access this call by following this link (https://zoom.us/j/744567429) and entering this Meeting ID (774 567 429).

The meeting is being held under the emergency order pertaining to the modification of the Massachusetts Opening Meeting Law. This order temporarily allows state and local governments to continue to carry out essential functions and operations during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. As such, this meeting suspends public access and will be held through the above online meeting service. Members of the public are still able to participate through the log-in access provided above.
