POLICE LOG for March 12: Report Of Erratic Man Doing Cart Wheels Outside Bank; Theft From Clothing Donation Bin

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, March 12, 2020:
  • A caller reported a man sitting on the ground in the drive-thru of a bank on Main Street. He was previously doing cart wheels in the parking lot and acting erratically. Police responded. Man checked OK and is en route to train station to head back to Billerica. (8:59am)
  • Police noted an MBTA bus has “call police” laminated and is stopped near Analog Devices on Woburn Street. Situation checked OK. State Trooper was on board and operating was doing CDL training. (10:20am)
  • A caller reported clothing was taken from a Planet Aid clothing drop on Main Street. Caller requested an officer review video. (10:38am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred on 93 North. One car fled the scene and took Exit 41. Operator later turned himself in to State Police. No injuries. (4:44pm)
  • A tree fell and struck wires on Congress Street. RMLD and Verizon notified. Street was impassable, so DPW also notified. A fire hydrant was also damaged, so Water Department was notified. (10:11pm)
