WILMINGTON, MA — Edwin J. Silva, age 89, a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away on March 5, 2020 at the Winchester Hospital.
Edwin was the beloved husband of Joyce E. (Fullerton) Silva, devoted father of Stephen E. Silva & his wife Jacqueline of Wilmington, Glenn M. Silva & his wife Jean of Goffstown, NH and Elaine M. MacMullen & her husband Kenneth of Tewksbury, loving “Grampy” of Jessica Silva, Stephen Silva, Sam Silva, Kayla Birdsall & her husband Corey, Nicole Greene & her husband T.J., Glenn Silva, Tyler Ruggiero, Kenneth Larry and Shauna Larry, cherished son of the late Manuel and Mary (Perry) Silva, dear brother of the late Alfonse J. Silva and Marie B. Silva. Edwin is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Edwin proudly served in the U.S. Army during Korea.
Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Monday, March 9th from 10:00 -12:00 noon immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
