POLICE LOG for March 3: Debris Left In Roadway; Interesting Excuse For Driving Into A Pole

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, March 3, 2020:
  • Police came across a large amount of debris in the roadway on Ballardvale Street. Police notified DPW for removal. (5:29am)
  • A caller reported a blue mini van struck a pole at the intersection of Salem Street and Middlesex Avenue and continued on towards Salem Street. Police located van. Driver confirmed he was involved. He had choked on water while driving. There was no damage to the pole and minor damage to the vehicle. (11:51am)
  • A walk-in party requested assistance in removing a ring. (12:48pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a fire behind a house on Liberty Street. (2:06pm)
