WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Saturday, February 29, 2020:
#1) Women’s Roller Derby To Hold Doubleheader At Shriners Auditorium
Boston Roller Derby, a Boston-based, female-only roller derby league, returns to the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) on Saturday, February 29, 2020 for doubleheader action — the Harbor Horrors vs. Cosmonaughties, followed by the Nutcrackers vs. Wicked Pissahs.
Doors open at 4:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or from any BRD skater for a discounted price of $12, or at the door for $16. Admission covers entry for both games (5pm start and 7pm start) and the after party (9pm start). Food and drinks available at the venue (cash only). Advance ticket sales will end at midnight the night before the game. VIP seats are trackside; General Admission seats are in the bleachers. Email tickets@bostonderby.com with any questions.

#2) Wilmington Democratic Town Committee To Hold Caucus
The Wilmington Democratic Town Committee’s Caucus for the 2020 Massachusetts State Convention will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 10am sharp at the 4th of July Building (142 Middlesex Avenue) in Wilmington.
Please pass along to any registered Democrat in Wilmington who is interested in being elected as a delegate to the Convention.

#3) Tech Buddies Drop-In At Wilmington Library
The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a Tech Buddies Drop-In Session from 10am to 11:30am. Need technology help, but Brad isn’t here? Drop in at a Tech Buddies session! Tech Buddies is a new volunteer program connecting tech-savvy teens and members of the Wilmington community in need of assistance navigating their phones, tablets, cameras, and the Cloud.
#4) Wilmington Youth Center Open
The Wilmington Youth Center, located inside Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue), is open every Saturday night, from 7pm to 9:30pm, from November 23, 2019 to March 28, 2020.
The Wilmington Youth Center offers a variety of activities, including:
- Board Games
- Jukebox
- Foosball
- Ping Pong
- Billiards
- Video Arcade Room
- Video Games (Game Cube, Playstation II, Wii, X-Box Kinect)
During the season, the Center sponsors several activities, including:
- Dances with DJs
- Craft Nights
- Whiffle Ball Games
Snack items, including pizza, candy and beverages, are available for purchase each week.
A member’s parent is required to chaperon for a minimum of two Saturday nights.
Registrations will be accepted on Saturday nights during the season. Registration costs $40 per child or $80 per family. The registration form can be found HERE.
