POLICE LOG for February 17: Man Walking Down Lowell St. With Machete; Dog Owner Concerned; Child Dials 911

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, February 17, 2020:
  • Dispatch received 911 open line with child in background. Parent also heard in background explaining to child not to call 911 unless there is an emergency as it will cause the police, fire and ambulance to come. Parent did not realize the child was on the line with 911. (9:33am)
  • A walk-in party sought a no trespass order against a male party who threatened him at Pacific Grove. (9:57am)
  • A caller reported a male party with a machete, possibly under the influence, with a young girl in the woods on Bay Street. Police were unable to locate. (10:31am)
  • A caller reported a male party walking with a machete down Lowell Street. Police spoke with man and told him not to leave his property with a machete. (11:09am)
  • A North Washington Street caller reported she believed her neighbor was throwing animal traps and other items in her yard to harm her dog. (11:53am)
