BILLERICA, MA — The Shawsheen Tech School Committee recently announced the four finalists in its Superintendent Search:
- Mr. Thomas Aubin, former Superintendent-Director of Diman Regional Technical High School in Fall River
- Dr. Kelly Fay, Coordinator of Curriculum & Staff Development at Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School
- Dr. Susan Kustka, former Assistant Superintendent for Administration & Personnel at Weymouth Public Schools
- Mrs. Jenna Lesko, Assistant Principal of Supervision & Professional Development at Shawsheen Tech
According to reporting in the Lowell Sun, the search’s Screening Committee received 12 applications. 6 of the 12 applicants were selected for interviews. 1 of the 6 dropped out of the search. After interviews, the Screening Committee named Aubin, Fay, Kutska and Lesko as finalists.
Parents and other interested stakeholders can meet with each candidate by contacting Karen Faiola at kfaiola@shawsheentech.org:
- Lesko will be available for meetings on Wednesday, February 5 after 1pm.
- Aubin will be available for meetings on Thursday, February 6 after noon.
- Fay will be available for meetings on Thursday, February 13 after noon.
- Kustka’s visit and meeting times are still being arranged.
Meetings will take place in the school’s Jack P. Miller Conference Room.
Interim Superintendent Melanie Hagman did not apply for the permanent job. Hagman took over for former Superintendent Tim Broadrick, who resigned in March 2019 to become Superintendent at Prospect Mountain High School in Alton, New Hampshire.
