POLICE LOG for January 22: Hit & Run; Car Wash Damaged; Loose Pit Bull

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Wednesday, January 22, 2020:
  • A caller reported they were side swiped by a white van in the area of Main Street and Church Street. Caller came to station with dashcam footage. Police contacted involved van’s company. (7:38am)
  • The owner of Triton Car Wash on Main Street reported a vehicle damaged a bay over the weekend. (9:13am)
  • Police notified DPW that the rear windshield wiper blade on one of the cruisers is missing. (12:06pm)
  • Animal Control Officer picked up a loose pit bull on Dana Court and brought to Best Pets. (1:11pm)
  • A license plate was located in the Lucci’s Parking Lot. Wilmington Police notified North Reading Police, who notified plate’s owner. (1:17pm)
  • Police moved along three vehicles that were playing Pokemon Go during a check of Wildwood Cemetery. (7:25pm)
  • A caller reported a minor motor vehicle crash in the Simards parking lot. Other party is reportedly being uncooperative. Police responded and assisted with paperwork exchange. (7:42pm)
