Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Recreation Department:

WILMINGTON, MA — If you’ve never heard of Mackinac Island, this charming and historical island in Northern Michigan is so pristine, they don’t allow cars.  We’ll be touring the island by horse-drawn carriages!  We’ll dine at the famed Grand Hotel and ferry to and from the island.  This trip has it all…. living history, beautiful wine country and the great city of Chicago.  And, there’s more!

Other highlights on this 9-day/8-night trip include the Bavarian village of Frankenmuth, with shopping at the world’s largest Christmas store!  We’ll explore the Ford Museum, the Ford Rouge Factory and Greenfield Village to learn more about the history of the Industrial Revolution in America.  We’ll enjoy beautiful Traverse City where we’ll view the renowned Mushroom Houses, and tour the Music House Museum.  We’ll finish the trip with two nights in the vibrant city of Chicago, ending with dinner and entertainment at Tommy Guns Garage – an interactive speakeasy with a musical comedy review.

Our package includes airfare, motor coach transportation throughout the tour, 8 nights accommodations in quality hotels, 13 meals, admission fees, a Tour Director, taxes and gratuities (except Tour Director and Driver).  This trip runs August 14 – 22, 2020, and is $2,385 p.p.d.o. (single and triple rates are also available).
