3 Things To Know In Wilmington On Sunday, January 19, 2020

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 3 things to know in Wilmington on Sunday, January 19, 2020:

#1) Take The Economic Development Committee’s Survey

The Wilmington Economic Development Committee (WEDC) is seeking input from residents, business owners and business professionals who work in Wilmington.  As a means of gathering this input, the WEDC has prepared a formal, quick, anonymous SURVEY.

The Survey is available online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/WEDCsurvey

The WEDC, formed in June of 2019, is anxious and excited to gather this important feedback and observations of people who live and work in the town of Wilmington.   While there have been a few informal media and social media discussions about various aspects and areas of retail and our local economy, this survey will serve as a formal survey on behalf of the town’s Economic Development Committee.   The Committee will factor all input from this survey and other sources in developing strategy toward reinforcing our local economy and promoting an atmosphere conducive to smart economic growth.  This survey will help the committee identify key business sectors that complement the fabric our community, are beneficial to the residents, and create jobs.

If online-based surveys are inconvenient or not possible, paper-based versions may be found at the Library, the Senior Center or at the Planning office at Town Hall.

All residents and those who work in Wilmington are encouraged to participate and offer honest, thoughtful responses.

The Wilmington Economic Development Committee is grateful to all participants for their time and valuable feedback.

#2) Middlesex Canal Museum Open

The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm.  Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
