POLICE LOG for January 2: Suspicious Man At Target; Hit & Run At CVS

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, January 2, 2020:
  • A caller reported she got an uncomfortable feeling from a man while shopping at Target. Man followed her out of the store and to her vehicle. Man was in his late 30’s/early 40’s wearing a fur-lined hat with ear flags and a black jacket with neon lines. Police responded, but were unable to locate the man. (1:09pm)
  • Police responded to a hit and run in the CVS parking lot. Police was unable to find the second vehicle involved. (2:12pm)
  • Police received a call that a man was making a disturbance at Town Hall. Police responded, but man had already left. (4:12pm)
  • Police notified DPW of new potholes near the FedEx Center on Cornell Place. (7:01pm)
  • A caller stated her husband was driving on Lowell Street and noticed a man running in and out of traffic. The caller’s husband believed the man was under the influence. Police responded, but could not locate man. (7:22pm)
  • Police pulled over a vehicle for a red light violation. Operator was concerned he was going to run out of gas. Police allowed operator to drive to Cumberland Farms and continued the traffic stop there. Operator was given a written warning. (11:32pm)
