POLICE LOG for December 30: Jeep vs. Tree; Car vs. Guardrail; Dog On Thin Ice; Phone Scam

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, December 30, 2019:
  • A vehicle struck the guardrail on 93 North near Exit 40. No injuries noted. State Police handled scene. Vehicle towed. (12:19pm)
  • DPW requested an officer respond to the Whitefield School to have vehicles of customers of the RMV to be moved along. (12:44pm)
  • A caller reported a dog was standing on the ice in the middle of Silver Lake. Animal Control Officer responded and could not locate. (3:58pm)
  • A vehicle struck a tree at Oakridge Circle and Gowing Road. Operator stated he was OK and walked home. Vehicle towed. (5:04pm)
  • A Burlington Avenue caller reported a call from someone called “James” who didn’t leave any contact information. He stated he wanted to buy their property. Caller felt it odd because their property is not for sale. Caller feared it was some sort of scam. (6:59pm)
  • A Burlington Avenue caller reported a snow plow just took out his mailbox. Police notified DPW. (9:29pm)
