WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 3 things to know in Wilmington on Monday, December 30, 2019:
#1) Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Annual Free Throw Contest For Ages 8-13
The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks is holding its annual children’s free throw contest (“Hoop Shot”) on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 7pm at the Wynn Middle School in Tewksbury (1 Griffin Way).
Participants will take 25 free throws from an age-appropriate foul line.
There will be six categories — Boys 8-9, Girls 8-9, Boys 10-11, Girls 10-11, Boys 12-13, and Girls 12-13.
A participant’s age is based on how old they will be on April 1, 2020.
Registration is free and can be done on site prior to the event’s start. Contact Director Mike Bennett at 978-657-6333 with any questions.
#2) Flu Clinic At Wilmington Town Hall
The Wilmington Health Department is hosting a Flu Clinic for residents, ages 5 to 65, on Monday, December 30, 2019, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm, at Wilmington Town Hall (121 Glen Road).
Here is what you need to know about the flu clinic:
- Register in advance HERE.
- Free of Charge.
- Only injectable vaccines will be available. No high dose will be available.
- Remember to bring your insurance cards.
- Vaccine will be available even if you do not have insurance.
- Anyone with a fever should delay vaccination.
- All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
#3) Trivia At Pancho’s Cantina
Pancho’s Cantina (206 Ballardvale Street) hosts trivia every Monday from 6pm to 7:30pm. Trivia, organized by Lisa Kapala, is free to play and family-friendly. Three games are played — you can come for one or stay for all three. There will be generous prizes, awesome food and drink, and a staff that couldn’t be nicer.
