POLICE LOG for December 26: Teens Attempt To Skate On Silver Lake & Rotary Park Rink Despite Unseasonably Warm Temps

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, December 26, 2019:
  • Police told a party to get off the ice rink at Rotary Park. (4:43pm)
  • Police returned a wallet to a resident who had left it at Card Smart. (8:26pm)
  • A Glen Road caller reported the wire to her walkway Christmas lights were cut sometime between Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. (8:43pm)
  • Wilmington Police assisted Woburn Police in trying to locate a white pick-up truck with heavy front end damage involved in a hit and run. Truck was eventually located in Woburn. (8:56pm)
  • Police came across several high school-aged teens parked in the old Rite Aid parking lot. Officer asked teens to pick up their trash and moved them along. (10:43pm)
  • Police spoke with four teens skating on the ice at Silver Lake. Police advised them the ice was not thick enough to safely skate on and sent them on their way. (11:06pm)
