POLICE LOG for December 24: Wilmington Man Issued Summons For Shoplifting At CVS; 3 Mailboxes Destroyed

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, December 24, 2019:
  • Officer was involved in a 2-vehicle crash at Lowell Street and Woburn Street. Both vehicles towed. No injuries noted. (6:46am)
  • Steven Sullivan (56, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Shoplifting ($250+) By Container Switching. A manager at CVS reported a shoplifter. Employees stopped customer, who put items back, but manager still wanted officer to respond to review security tapes. Officer then served Sullivan a no trespass order at his home. (11:15am)
  • A Jordan Street caller reported a vehicle coming from Tewksbury drove down Salem Street taking out several mailboxes. Police responded and confirmed three vehicles were destroyed. Police believed vehicle headed towards Tewksbury. (7:26pm)
