POLICE LOG for December 20: Rollover Crash On Main Street; Strout Ave. Receives Attention After Break-Ins

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, December 20, 2019:
  • During a check of Strout Avenue, police noted an open shed in yard. Appeared to be an oversight. No footprints in snow. (2:00am)
  • A Strout Avenue resident reported a male sitting in a Pontiac Hatchback on her street. She didn’t recognize vehicle. Police responded. Grandfather was dropping off her granddaughter at the school bus stop. He does so every Friday. Clear. (8:28am)
  • An Apache Way caller reported a small sedan drove up onto the sidewalk and damaged a mailbox. Police confirmed significant damage to the mailbox. (9:39am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash with a rollover occurred on Main Street. No injuries. One vehicle towed. Police shut down Main Street from Lowell Street to Eames Street. Verizon and RMLD were notified regarding damage to a pole at intersection of Main Street and Cross Street. (5:55pm)
