POLICE LOG for December 17: 2 Crashes On West Street; Kid Riding Bike In Snowstorm; Sign Malfunction

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, December 17, 2019:
  • A vehicle crashed into a rock wall on West Street. Mailbox also damaged. No injuries noted. Vehicle towed. Occupants were transported to Mobil on the Run to wait for a ride. (9:26am)
  • A vehicle crashed into a wall on 93 South, near Exit 40. State Police handled scene. (12:10pm)
  • Police received report of a LRTA bus with “Call Police” flashing on it sign board. State Police drove behind the bus and was in contact with the LRTA to confirm any issues. Sign was activated by mistaken. (1:02pm)
  • A vehicle crashed into a rock wall on West Street. No injuries. Vehicle towed. (2:57pm)
  • A Brand Avenue caller requested an officer remove her neighbor from her property, claiming she is shoveling snow onto hers. Police responded. Matter is a civil dispute over a property line. (3:29pm)
  • En route to another call, an officer spotted on a young child on a bike riding on Glen Road during the snowstorm. Another officer responded but was unable to locate. (4:37pm)
