POLICE LOG for December 11: Strange 911 Call; Helpful Neighbor Mistaken For Solicitor; Alleged Assault

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Wednesday, December 11, 2019:
  • Police received report of man going door to door soliciting shoveling jobs on Allstone Avenue. Police spoke with man, who denied soliciting and said he was just helping a few neighbors with shoveling. (8:50am)
  • Police issued a written warning to a driver for failing to remove snow from vehicle. (8:58am)
  • Police conducted ALICE training at the North Intermediate School. (1:41pm)
  • A caller reported an alleged assault occurred at the Registry of Motor Vehicles. (1:56pm)
  • A man called 911 to request an officer’s assistance because his windshield is frozen over. Police responded and showed operator how to activate the defroster. (7:47pm)
