WILMINGTON, MA — Dancers from Wilmington’s The Dance Company traveled to Disney World in Orlando, Florida last week to perform in the Dance the Magic Elite Holiday Spectacular.
These Wilmington dancers, ranging in age from 7 to 17, performed in two different shows.
On Saturday night, The Dance Company dancers, performed in the Theatre in the Wild on the “Finding Nemo” Stage. They were joined by other dance studios from across the U.S.A. and Canada.
On Sunday, The Dance Company dancers led the parade down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. They were joined by hundreds of other dancers from all across North America.
All dancers and their parents were invited to a special after hours VIP party in Animal Kingdom on Friday night. The park was closed for this private event, which included a live DJ, food, dessert tables and easy access to the Mt. Everest ride.
The Sunday morning parade dancers had a Disney World photo shoot and were treated to brunch.
In order to be invited to take part in the Dance the Magic Elite Holiday Spectacular, dance studios were required to audition by submitting a series of videos to ensure all the dancers were qualified and prepared to participate.
