POLICE LOG for December 3: Dumpster Mystery; Car Strikes Fire Hydrant; Postal Truck Involved In Accident

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, December 3, 2019:
  • Police were out with a vehicle in the middle of the road on Shawsheen Avenue. Vehicle’s windshield wipers were not working. Police escorted vehicle to residence. Police issued the driver a citation for defective equipment and no headlights. (1:10am)
  • A postal truck and another vehicle clipped mirrors on West Street. Police reported minor damage. (7:39am)
  • A Lawrence Street caller reported an empty dumpster was left on his property last night. Caller already checked with neighbors. (9:30am)
  • A vehicle struck and knocked over a fire hydrant on Boutwell Street. A recycling barrel was also damaged. Water Department and DPW notified. (11:50am)
  • A stop sign was knocked down at Middlesex Avenue and Main Street. (10:28pm)
