POLICE LOG for December 2: Cars Into Snowbanks; Plowing Complaint; Irate Tow Truck Customer

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, December 2, 2019:
  • Police received report of an irate customer who got her vehicle towed to Sonny’s Mobil on the Run. Customer reportedly kicked the A&S towing truck while giving the tow truck driver a “hard time.” State Police handled scene. (12:28am)
  • A vehicle struck a street sign, stop sign and pole and crashed into a snowbank on Middlesex Avenue and Main Street. Vehicle towed. Verizon notified. DPW notified. No injuries noted. (6:36am)
  • A vehicle drove into a ditch in the swamp area of Wildwood Street. Vehicle towed. No injuries noted. (2:05pm)
  • Police issued a written warning to a driver for failure to clear snow. (2:47pm)
  • A Lawrence Street caller reported her neighbor was plowing snow onto her property and she worries about her rock wall. Police responded and restored the peace between the neighbors. Caller was advised to install wooden stakes in front of rock wall to notify plow drivers. (3:48pm)
  • Police contacted DPW of downed tree blocking entire road on Winter Street. (4:04pm)
